The room was good-sized and what's more - included a great shower and a shower. The breakfast was extensive with smoked salmon and fruit, as for instance and served by the exceptionally kind staff...

The room I booked had great views and the towels were neatly placed on the back of the chair, but it seemed like it hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest left.

central to Edinburgh,
On main road in Edinburgh, which did not go quiet at all during the night, across road from large casino. Appeared "tired" paint flaking on window frames, windows would not stay open without something blocking it,a nearby room appeared to have an alarm or smoke detector going all night on the second night, mentioned to manager following day, but no comment made.

The hotel is perfectly situated - Princes street is so close, with restaurants, pubs, shops, and also all the places one would want to visit as well as the main train station and bus stops are within walking distance. The hotel is lovely and comfortable, very quiet (the nights were absolutely silent). Our hotel room had a wonderful view over houses onto the bay. :)
